Anthony has a wide range of musical experience including Folk, Classical, Metal and Musical Theatre. Anthony first started by taking piano lessons at the age of six, and then picked up the violin at just seven years old. He first started to play gigs at nine years old for the dance function band "Byleet Brewers," and is still playing violin for them today. For several years Anthony was part of the Surrey Youth Orchestra, with other orchestral experience gained from School Chamber Orchestras. Also in school, he also took part in various Choirs, Jazz Quintets and even a barbershop Octet! Whilst in College, Anthony took an acting part in a production of "Les Miserables, and was the understudy for the lead character, Jean Valjean. Back to the violin, Anthony worked in music shops for 3 years, during which time he worked around different music festivals, including Cambridge, Cropredy, and Trowbridge. He has played with various musicians in the folk music world, including members of Fairport Convention and Show of Hands to name only two. Now Classically trained on violin, he is applying these skills to help him become a more prominent session musician across the industry. Anthony has only been playing bass since late 2006, and only because he was forced to give up figure skating seriously due to various different illnesses and injuries. Despite the relatively short time playing the bass, his musical roots gave him a huge advantage, giving him the chance to excel at an astonishing rate, with various appearances on BBC TV and Radio. After Completing a Higher Diploma in 2009, Anthony has stayed at the Academy of Contemporary Music, where he is now working towards a degree. Apart from Nice Shoes, Anthony has recently been working with various contemporary artists. He is now focusing on different Funk and Jazz Fusion projects, and along with with Alessio, and Salva is currently recording a Jazz Fusion album, which will be released soon! - Watch this Space!!!
